Here are few common mistakes which most of the travelers do.

Forgetting to notify the banks that you will travel
When your bank suddenly sees suddenly occurs to withdraw cash from your card somewhere in Beijing, the first assumption (for automated systems) is that your account has been hacked. Your card is likely to be frozen. A situation where you may find yourself abroad without having access to the unpleasant and you have to make international calls to deal with the problem.
The situation is easily avoided: make an online inquiry or call the bank to let you know which countries you'll be visiting soon or have second card.

The exchange money at the airport or at Cruise terminal
You just landed in a completely new country and now you need the money in local currency. Exchange of money at the airport, although it seems convenient, usually offers the worst rate. Although these exchangers officially controlled, they still pay a hefty rent. Exchange offices at airports usually offer the worst rates. Much better to get local currency using the ATM; even with the duties of foreign banks, you often end up, get the best rate.
Tip: Find out how to exchange money correctly and at current exchange rates in advance before your arrival at the destination. You can find the rate in the daily magazine every cruise line has.

"Stuck" with large bills
There may be situations that having enough money, you will experience some "financial difficulties" in many developing countries. These clean, smooth notes that issued your ATM is not always easy to exchange. Average store or restaurant may have problems with the delivery. You may have to wait to exchange large bills. The problem with another by exchanging more common among bus drivers and taxi drivers and some of them are quite brazen and asked to keep the change itself, hoping that you "give in" loose despair. Trying to pay for the food street vendors denomination is not only inconvenient, but for them it has, among other things, is considered bad form.
To begin, decide the amount of money that you request from an ATM; Select the amount to be given at least several different denominations. In Thailand, asking 3,000 baht, you get three bills for 1000 baht, which are difficult to change. Request 2900 baht - it will give you a good mix of different, including small bills.
If you still need to change for large bills, it can always be done in chain stores, night bars on the busy streets and at your hotel.

Lack of cash for departure tax
Believe it or not, some countries want the money as of arrival in the country (visa fees) and for leaving the country. The process is usually the following: go to the office, pay a departure tax, get a stamp in your ticket and then you can fly.
While the clever country conveniently and discreetly add this tax to the final cost of your ticket when booking, some still want you to pay in cash.
Some of the Asian countries that require a fee for leaving cash - Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines.

Torn or damaged banknotes
Torn, marked, faded notes are often issued to foreigners in the form of delivery. Matter how carefully you "learn" the bill, you are given will depend on whether you can pay them. You probably will not be able to exchange damaged banknotes when leaving the country.
Follow the example of the locals, and be firm in its decision not to accept the damaged currency, which can be useful only as a souvenir.

Incorrect settings smartphone
If you travel with your favorite smartphone, you need to be extremely careful with the settings of GPRS, Wap, 3G and etc., especially if you bought a SIM-card from a local operator.
All automatic updates, sync accounts and widgets (such as weather), as well as surfing the interent can go quite a round sum (if you certainly do not use Wi-Fi).
