Copies of ID

I have read a recommendation to keep a set of copies in your safe onboard of your passport and drivers lic. Since you only need the Sign and Sail to board the ship should you bring copies for shore tours or should you bring your Passport and Drivers License? Thanks

It is always a good idea to have a copy of photo ID with you just in case. Note that in some countries a copy of a document is not recognized from the authorities so better as the front desk for a specific requirements of the port where you are.
